Sugartown starts 24th July 10.25pm BBC1

We were contacted back in 2010 to see if we would like to take part in a new drama series being commisioned for the BBC.  Having previously taken part in filming for other programmes such as Look North, Working Lunch, Big Cook Little Cook and Calendar, we jumped at the chance.

Filming took place primarily in Scarborough and Filey, with three days of filming carried out at our production premises at Carnaby.  Several members of our staff took the opportunity to become extras during the three day filming and also got involved in filming out on other locations.

We were all excited to meet the stars of the show; Sue Johnston, Shaun Dooley, Tom Ellis, Miranda Raison and Philip Jackson.  They were all incredibly friendly and a pleasure to meet.

Sugartown is a three part comedy drama based in a small northern seaside town.  The story is based around the fictional Burr's rock factory and the fight between Jason Burr and his brother to keep the business afloat.
